Your Obsessed with Facebook If … by Ted Nguyen
I love infographics! They’re packed full of great information, but are easy, fast, and fun to read. Ted shares this one called Obsessed with Facebook. I have a confession to make. My wife and I are both guilty of taking our iPhone to bed with us and checking Facebook before we drift off to sleep and when we wake up.
The Twitter Challenge is On! by Michele Welch
I’m a big proponent of the view that Twitter is primarily a networking tool, so when I read Michele’s challenge it struck a chord with me. One part of the challenge is to connect with at least three new people per day. These connections are the key matrix by which she is judging her success. It’s not about followers, but connections.
You Don’t Need a Social Media Strategy by Helene Venge
It’s easy to get caught up in the social media phenomenon and forget that it’s merely a tool in your marketing and branding strategies. I love this quote that the chairman of Coca-Cola Nairobi gave Tim Sanders.
You don’t need a social media strategy – you need a brand strategy that leverages social media. Don’t get off the brand strategy just because there’s a new communications channel, that’s how you lose the plot as a brand. Technology is the tail, not the dog. – Chris Kirubi

It was my pleasure to share them with you, William. Kiesha’s great, isn’t she? It’s hard to go wrong by clicking on her links. Welcome to the site.
This line particularly caught my attention – “You don’t need a social media strategy – you need a brand strategy that leverages social media. Don’t get off the brand strategy just because there’s a new communications channel, that’s how you lose the plot as a brand. Technology is the tail, not the dog. – Chris Kirubi”. This is so true. I may be guilty of this. Your brand should always be the top priority and focus. This absolutely makes sense.
